“North Siberia Air Navigation” Branch is a pioneer in developing and implementing ADS-B in the Russian Federation.

Given the geographical setting of Tyumen region, all transit traffic with Trans-Siberian and Cross-Polar routes goes through the Branch’s area of responsibility.

A great part of traffic from Europe to Japan, Korea, and China operated along these routes, is highly advantageous both for Russian and international airspace users as these are the shortest routes between major airports of Asia and Europe.

One of the key objectives of area ATC system modernization is the establishment of Tyumen consolidated ACC.
