Moscow ATC Centre’s area of responsibility covers 720,000 km² stretching for 1,046 km from north to south, and 995 km from west to east. Within this area, there are 71 aerodromes, including three largest international airports of the Russian Federation – Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo.

On 10 October 2017, a new Flight Control Centre of State ATM Corporation’s Moscow ATC Centre was put into operation. The new Flight Control Centre, equipped with Sintez-АР4 Automation ATM System, replaced TERKAS Automation ATC system, which had been operational since 1981.
